Welcome to the inaugural session of The Elevate Series — a new monthly program of practical, career-focused training for insolvency professionals in Western Australia.

Attendance is free and open to all professional staff. CPD accreditation is available to AIIP members.

Topic: Caveats in Practice — Registration, Rights and Common Pitfalls

This session will cover:

  • Grounds for registering a caveat
  • The impact of the appointment of an IP; both after registration and before registration
  • Where a jointly owned property, the right to register over the whole of the property or one or more of the registered proprietors’ interests
  • Withdrawal by consent
  • Lapsing notices
